Kilian Jornet's Training Log, Fitt Insider Podcast, An App for Visualizing Running Fatigue, My YouTube Channel
Welcome to Intervals, where I bring you the best insights and resources I’m discovering as I delve into the world of sustained strength and endurance.
And welcome to the 94 new subscribers who have joined since the last edition of Intervals. It’s great to have you here!
1/ Kilian Jornet Has One of the Highest VO2 Maxes Ever Recorded
It took Kilian over 10 years to build up to his maximum endurance training volume. In this document, he shares his progression up until age 30:

This highlights just how long a game endurance training really is. It takes years to build your ability to handle big volume.
2/ Fitt Insider Podcast
Joe Vennare interviews a wide range of guests from across the fitness space in this podcast series.
He focuses on emerging trends in both the practice and business of fitness — from how gyms are evolving, to the growth of wellness and longevity movements, to a sharper focus on nutrition.
One recent episode I enjoyed: “272. Luke Saunders, Founder & CEO of Farmer’s Fridge” — where Luke and Joe explore bringing ultra-healthy meals to vending machine-style fridges around the world.
3/ An App to Visualize Your Running Fatigue Curve
I built a small app to help you visualize your running fatigue curve!
For every doubling of distance, elite endurance athletes’ pace typically drops about 4%. For sprint and middle-distance runners, it’s closer to 10%. Which profile do you have?
My own fatigue curve is currently around 6.5%.

4/ My YouTube Channel!
I’ve been experimenting with videos. Here are a few of my top ones so far:
I Tried to Stay With The Parkrun Leader — a fun 5K POV vlog where I push myself to the limit (and race a dog for the lead).
My Interview With Alan Couzens — we go deep on training volume, recovery, dynamic planning, and more.
My Interview With Anthony Peressini — Anthony coaches more elite Hyrox athletes than anyone else. We dive into all things Hyrox training.
Thanks for joining for this week’s Intervals!
